Courthouse Lead Teacher

The Lead Teacher leads the Courthouse Children’s Center team in assessing and responding to the individual needs of the children.  This person oversees the center operations and provides daily support and assistance to center staff and volunteers. AAS in Education or Early Childhood Education.  At least two years teaching experience in an Early Childhood Environment.  Job requires traveling within area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Previous work in an Early Childhood Environment and with families of low income.  Willing to attain First Aid and CPR certification.  


Speech/Language Pathologist

The Speech/Language Pathologist works part of a multidisciplinary preschool team working in integrated early childhood settings.  Responsible for evaluations, treatment plans, and direct service.  Center based (no travel). 

Qualifications:  NYS licensed, preschool exp. preferred.  Competitive Salary.  Position is in Chenango County


Early Head Start Teacher

The Early Head Start Teacher leads the classroom team in assessing and responding to the individual needs of Early Head Start participants and makes weekly contact to assess educational, health, nutrition, and social service needs and to enhance the parent(s)’ ability to meet those needs through the appropriate use of community resources. 

Qualifications:  AAS in ECE or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential for Infant and Toddler Caregivers or an equivalent credential that addresses comparable competencies. At least two years demonstrated experience working with infants/toddlers and families of low‑income.   Willingness to become knowledgeable regarding Head Start philosophy and regulations and the community we serve.  Car and Drivers License required.


Family Advocate

The Family Advocate works together with families enrolled in the Early Head Start Programs to assess family functioning and enhance parent(s)' ability to meet their own needs through the appropriate use of community resources. Additionally, the Family Advocate carries-out recruitment and transition activities. 

Qualifications:  BA Degree in Human Services or related field with knowledge of child development or completion of a degree and/or Family Development Credential within 18 months of employment.   Job requires traveling within area served by the program. Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.  Position may require evening and weekend hours.


Certified Teacher

The Certified Teacher leads the classroom team in assessing, planning, and responding to the individual needs of Head Start and School District sponsored children enrolled in a full day, full year Universal Pre-kindergarten program. 

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with Teacher Certification.  At least two years experience teaching in a developmentally appropriate preschool setting.  Willing to become knowledgeable regarding Head Start philosophy, local School District and NYS Office of Children and Family Services regulations, and the community we serve. Ability to work collaboratively as a team member with designated school district staff /officials. Job requires traveling within the area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.


Lead Teacher

Lead Teacher leads the classroom team in assessing and responding to the individual needs of Head Start and Community Development sponsored children in each of two sessions. This person oversees satellite center operations and provides daily support and assistance to classroom staff and volunteers.

Qualifications:  BA Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education.  At least two years experience teaching in a preschool setting. Previous work with preschool children and families of low income.  Willing to attain First Aid and CPR certification.   Job requires traveling within area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.


Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher works with the classroom team to implement the education curriculum including individual assessment and planning for Head Start and Community Development sponsored children.

Qualifications:  AAS degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. One year demonstrated experience teaching in a preschool setting.  Previous work with families of low-income helpful.  Willing to attain First Aid and CPR certification.  Job requires traveling within area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.


Nurse

The Nurse attends to the health needs of the children, parents, and staff participating in all Agency programs.   NYS Licensed RN.  Current or recent pediatric/community health nursing experience.   Interest or experience in teaching Health Education to staff/children. Knowledgeable about the normal growth and development of the well child.  BS Degree in Nursing.  Demonstrated experience working with children and families in the home setting.  Professional Liability insurance coverage is recommended.  Job requires traveling within the area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.  


Special Education Preschool Teacher

The Special Education Services Teacher leads a multidisciplinary classroom team in assessing and responding to the individual needs of children with disabilities in the Special Education Services Program. 

Qualifications:  Birth-2 NYS Certification in Special Education.  Experience working in a classroom setting with preschool children with special needs.  Job requires traveling within area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.


1:1 Aide

The Special Education Services One-on-One Aide assists a designated child with disabilities participating in the Special Education Services Program to carryout their Individual Education Plan.

Qualifications:  High School diploma or GED.  Experience working one-on-one in a preschool setting with children with disabilities.

 


Custodian (2nd Shift)

Responsible for cleaning of all areas of the building and agency property.  Shift is 3:00-11:00 PM but may vary during summer months.   High school diploma or GED required.  Must be at least 18 years of age.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Capable of making independent decisions and using good judgment within proper policy and procedures.  Job requires traveling within the area served by the program and may involve occasional weekend work.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.


Finance Assistant

The Finance Assistant is responsible for various fiscal and clerk duties such as data entry, maintains fiscal records, typing, copying, filing, and other general office functions for the Family Enrichment sponsored programs. AAS in Business or related field or three years experience working in a non-profit agency.  Must have previous experience processing payroll and good computer skills.  Knowledge of accounting helpful.

 


Bus Driver

The Bus Driver safely transports children and families participating in the Head Start program and Agency sponsored programs. Position requires person with a High School Diploma / GED and successful completion of the NYS School Bus Driver Basic Course of Instruction.  Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid NYS Commercial Driver's License (Class "C" or higher with passenger endorsement) also has or is willing to attain an “S” Endorsement as required by Federal Regulations.   Position will require ability to work split shifts and evening runs as scheduled. 

Employment is contingent upon the ability to perform the following functions; passage of a physical examination required by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, passage of the School Bus Driver Physical Performance Test in accordance with Section 156.3C of the Commissioner’s Regulations.  Compliance, and compliance with Family Enrichment Network's alcohol and Controlled Substance Management Program in accordance with the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991.


Community Habilitation Specialist

The Community Habilitation Specialist works with individuals with disabilities to develop and implement the individual's Habilitation Plan, safeguards, and assists individuals in meeting their objectives.

Qualifications:  Associate's Degree with one year of hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid New York State driver's license and an insured, registered motor vehicle.  Job requires some nights and weekends.  Applicants must pass a pre-hire abuse registry check and comply with fingerprinting in accordance to OPWDD regulations. 


Physical Therapist - Johnson City & Norwich

The Physical Therapist performs evaluations, and provides pre-determined physical therapy treatments on an individual basis for assigned individuals.

Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and two years experience.  Must hold New York State Physical Therapist License.  Job requires traveling within area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.


Assistant Director of Special Education Services

The Special Education Services Assistant Director directs and administers the Special Education Services Program in Chenango County to disabled children and their families according to each child’s Individual Education Plan.  Minimum Masters in Special Education birth-2, NYS certification as a school district administrator preferred.  Training and experience in securing and individualizing needed services for children with special needs, public administration and supervision.  Knowledge of regulations relating to the education of student with disabilities.  Job requires traveling within area served by the program.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

 


Community Pre-Vocational Provider

The Community Pre-Vocational Provider is responsible for supporting individuals with disabilities to maximize their vocational skills within a community based setting. Using a person centered approach, the individual will have opportunities to learn and practice job skills that will prepare him/her for future community employment opportunities. Responsible for insuring that confidentiality is strictly maintained concerning all agency related information.   

Qualifications:  High School diploma required. Associate’s degree in Human Services, nursing or other equivalent combinations of education and work/life experience preferred and two (2) years of experience working with the individuals with disabilities. Position involves evening and weekend hours and traveling within the area served by the Agency.  Must have valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

 


Occupational Therapist

Believe in the power of early intervention?  Become part of a multidisciplinary preschool team working in integrated early childhood settings.  Responsible for evaluations, treatment plans, and direct service.  NYS License, Preschool exp. preferred.
